As someone who grew up with an unhealthy relationship to perfection, Alyssa has really come to embrace imperfection. Authenticity has become a buzzword that gets thrown around a lot, but her focus is on truth-telling. She don’t want to see the airbrushed veneer of people; she wants to see them as they truly are. Her clients often tell her, “I love that your photos feel like real moments of real people!” and her response is, “that’s because they are.” You don’t have to be perfect to be lovable, and imperfection is way more interesting.
Alyssa feels privileged to find so much meaning and fulfillment in her work. As a mom to three boys, she knows all too well how quickly moments pass and loves helping others hold onto those moments as well.
